Location: Cobb county Georgia. Got caught speeding on 75 north. 106 in a 55. Officer “paced” me with less than 500 feet of following with no consistent gap. Ended up getting impounded and spent 10 hours in Cobb county jail. Charges are reckless driving and speeding 106 in a 55. 22 year old male with no prior offenses. Paid the $875 bail and have a court date 3 months from now. Got a quote for $1600 from ticket clinic to defend the case. Wondering if I should explore other options and what I should expect in terms of consequences. I expect probation, community service, extensive fines, and possible suspension. Really more so worried about further jail time. Should I explore more options for legal advice and lawyers? Should I take a defensive driving course immediately?
