Kyle is a lifelong Alabamian who grew up in Attalla, graduated from The University of Alabama, then attended Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. His law practice is built around solving issues for the people and businesses of Etowah County so they can do more.. Kyle is deeply rooted in the Etowah County Community. While in high school at Etowah, his first job was wearing a zebra suit at community events as the mascot for Z93, “Zooby-Do.” Believe it or not, that’s relevant to Kyle’s path to the legal profession. That job quickly turned into another when Kyle became Digital Content Director for Z93 and WAAX where he was responsible for the content and design of all digital properties associated with the radio stations.. From there, Kyle moved to Tuscaloosa while he attended The University of Alabama and continued to work in radio. During Kyle’s time in Tuscaloosa, he was fortunate to have been a member of a small award-winning team at 98 TXT, which covered the April 27, 2011 tornado outbreak and provided around-the-clock live coverage until electricity was restored to every Tuscaloosa County resident. This was not the beginning of Kyle’s passion for serving others, which had begun years earlier while in high school when Kyle was elected Key Club District Governor, but it was the lightbulb moment where he realized that he could bring his passion for serving others into his career.. Since then, Kyle participated in research while at Alabama that provided small communities with the tools to create news outlets, developed methods for better calculating return on investment (ROI) on advertising spending, and analyzed the impact of harmful statutes on disenfranchised communities. That didn’t keep Kyle from continuing his passion for service. While in Tuscaloosa, Kyle was lucky enough to again serve as a state leader of a Kiwanis family club when he was elected as Alabama District Circle K Governor.. Following his graduation from the University of Alabama, Kyle moved to Birmingham to attend Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. Kyle continued his service to Alabamians as the Charter President of the Kiwanis Club of Magic City Young Professionals. That did not prevent Kyle from taking a rigorous course load that; in addition to the required courses in Estate Planning, Legal Procedure, and Contracts; included Advanced Trial Advocacy training for both Criminal and Civil cases; in-depth Real Estate & Business Transactions; and, Voting Rights litigation. Beyond his studies, Kyle has researched and written on developments in Real Estate & Land Laws and the best practices for law firm operation.. Kyle’s tireless work ethic meant that his studies and community service were not the only things he was a part of during his time at Cumberland. Kyle first clerked for Hon. Judge David A. Kimberly of Alabama’s Sixteenth Judicial Circuit where he researched pending cases and provided insight into court filings in the Summer of 2014. Following that summer, Kyle worked on large personal injury cases as a Law Clerk for Steve Tipler at Tipler Law Offices where he conducted legal research, wrote motions and briefs for the court, and prepared information during the information finding phase of cases. Those two work experiences while at Cumberland prepared Kyle for the practice of the law.. Now, as a lawyer practicing in Gadsden and Etowah County through The Law Offices of Kyle D. Pierce, Kyle works every day to bring his passion for serving others together with his knowledge and experience to solve problems for his clients that allow them to do more and go further in the pursuit of their passions.
