A native of Mobile, James was initially attracted to the law to become a sports agent. But after receiving his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2002, he landed a job in the Mobile County District Attorney’s office, where he stayed until the following year when he had a chance to join the Cochran firm..
