I am originally from Virginiawhere I attended Virginia Tech and received a Bachelor’s of Science in ChemicalEngineering with a minor in Chemistry. Following graduation, I attended the JohnMarshall LawSchool in Chicago, Illinois.  While in law school I was a member of the PatentLaw Society that assisted individual inventors in applying for patentprotection.  I also clerked for several lawfirms in Chicago and Los Angeles. While clerking for these law firms, I had the opportunity to assist on workfor the Grateful Dead in enforcing their various intellectual property rights.. I am admitted to practice law in both Virginiaand California.  I am also a licensed patent attorney withexperience in technical fields covering electrical, software, chemical,mechanical, biomedical, industrial and others.. Once I moved out to Los Angeles,I started working immediately on intellectual property protection and enforcementmatters for many clients, including Grupo Modelo,S.A. de C.V., the Mexicancompany that makes Corona,Pacifico and Modelo beer, among other products. I also continued to practice patent prosecution and enforcement forclients in many diverse fields of business and technical disciplines.  I also have over twelve years of experience litigatingintellectual property disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants, both intrial and appellate courts.
