Location: California Hey Reddit. Sorry if I'm not properly posting this in the right format, I'm doing this because a friend advised me to talk to you guys here. I've been dealing with a long and drawn out workers compensation case that's lasted for about a year and a half so far. Long story short, I got a back injury from work a year and a half ago and when I told my contracting agency about it, they fired me. However, the contractor's insurance company has been paying for all of my medical expenses and procedures but they are ignoring/refusing to provide temporary disability to me. And they are also essentially saying that they are not liable to provide me any compensation outside of paying for my medical procedures. I originally hired a workers compensation attorney from the first month and I was immediately put off a little based off of how unresponsive and unhelpful they were. I let them go after trying to stick with them for a year because they were unresponsive and unprofessional, they accidentally provided my phone number to other law firms, they tried to get me to settle my case for a low amount despite going to two QMEs that told me that my contractors are in the wrong, and that I should have been getting TD, and I should have been receiving better treatment and better compensation.
