Location: Connecticut and Massachusetts I promise there is an actual question here once I get through the backstory... got caught twice the summer after graduating college. The first DUI was actually in Hartford CT at a check point on a Friday night which I drove right into it like an idiot. I got a lawyer in CT, never been in trouble in my life... the attorney swindled a ridiculous amount of $ from me to show up to court once. Anyways, I still lived and worked in Mass and my attorney said "Hey you're fine to drive in Mass, enjoy your summer!". Obviously I should have laid low and behaved but I was young and stupid (lots of regrets).... so in August around my birthday I was caught a second time in Mass. I worked my way through the IID program from CT smoothly - 6 months with the device - I then asked if I could remove it and they said - no you need to start the 2 years with the IID for Mass. This is where I really struggled. I had old cars, lots of lock outs, battery drained in the middle of the night during the new England winters, struggled to pay all the fees etc. After about 5 years of these lock outs/ suspensions/ waiting 6 + months (during Covid) for hearings etc... I was dating someone in CT and decided to just move to CT. I got my license reinstated in CT but I…
