Firm: Ziegler Diamond Law: Debt Fighters
Practice Areas: Consumer Protection
Attorney Kaelyn Diamond focuses her practice on assisting everyday people in consumer protection claims against financial institutions and credit reporting agencies that violate consumer rights. Many people believe that when they owe a debt, they have no rights, but both Federal and Florida State laws provide consumers with legal protections against overzealous creditors. This may include protection against harassing collection activities such as unauthorized robocalls, contacting friends, family or employers about a debt, making aggressive or threatening remarks, misrepresenting information about a debt, unlawful credit reporting, and other unlawful activities.. Kaelyn started with The Law Office of Michael A. Ziegler, P.L. as a law clerk in 2014 after various legal internships throughout her undergraduate and law school careers. It was at this point that she knew she’d found her niche: helping everyday people that had been taken advantage of by big-business creditors. In 2016, Kaelyn accepted a position as an associate attorney with the Law Office of Michael A. Ziegler, P.L. She was promoted to Partner in 2019. In 2021, she became a Shareholder, and the firm transitioned to Ziegler Diamond Law. Different name, same commitment to our mission: empower consumers to liberate themselves from oppressive debt.. Kaelyn is a Florida native, raised in the small beach town of Vero Beach. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida (go Gators!) and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law.. In 2019, Kaelyn was appointed to the Florida Bar Consumer Protection Law Committee, where she served as Chairperson for the 2022 term. She is also a proud member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates. Kaelyn is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, the Central District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.. Kaelyn has presented on the CARES Act with Bay Area Legal Services in October 2020, the Florida Mini-TCPA Law with MyLawCLE and the Florida Bar Association in October of 2021, the FDCPA at the National Consumer Law Center's FDCPA Conference in May of 2022, and the Florida Bar Consumer Protection Law Committee's 2023 President's Showcase Seminar: Corruption of the Best Things give Rise to the Worst - Helping Consumers Guard Against and Recover from Scams in June of 2023.. While not practicing law, Kaelyn enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants around Tampa Bay, and spending time with her husband, son, and Australian Shepherds at the beach.
