Consumer Rights & Construction Litigation Attorney. Prior to that, I was a Litigation Associate with one of Atlanta's oldest law firms, Greer, Klosik & Daugherty (GKD)[its name has since expanded], where I began my legal career. At GKD I handled primarily Insurance Defense matters, but I was also involved in a handful of plaintiff's personal injury cases. It was there that I developed the core foundation of my civil litigation experience; during the first few years of practice, I took or defended scores of depositions and was fortunate enough to have my first opportunity to act as lead counsel in a number of jury trials throughout the state. On a non-professional level, I devote a significant portion of my free time to road bicycling, and over the last eight years I have become an avid recreational/competitive cyclist and occasionally participate in cycling races throughout the state. I hold a Category 4/5 USCA Road Cycling License and as of 2008 was ranked 67th in the state in my age group. I am a Member of both CycleWorks [a/k/a North Ga. Cycling Association] and Dunwoody Cycling and frequently attend various Group Rides around the state.. I am also an avid tennis player [USTA 4.0], alpine skier, backpacker [I have hiked all sections of the GA AT, the Benton MacKaye Trail and many other trails in the SE] and competitive pool (billiards) player, and have won numerous tournaments in the latter over the years. I own two Pugs - my only "children" - and am a vocal proponent of Animal Rights and Environmental/Wilderness Protection [to name just a few], sometimes becoming involved with various causes related thereto.
