I was born and raised in Cicero, Illinois.  I attended Morton East High School followed by Morton College, where I was named Freshman Female Athlete of the Year.  After receiving an Associate's Degree in Commerce, I transferred to Southern Illinois Univeristy at Carbondale to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree.  Two years later I received a B.S. in Paralegal Studies (major) and Political Science (minor).  I have worked in law firms since graduating from college in 1987.  In 1993 I began attending law school at night at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law while working full-time in a law firm.  Four years later I received a Juris Doctor degree with honors.  I have spent my entire career handling cases ranging from wrongful death to business disputes..
