I have battled to be the best. The best at my job, the best for my wife, the best for my child, and the best for my God. I have always reached my goals, even when faced with great adversity. I have learned the extreme difference between failing at something, which regretfully visits all of us, and being a failure, which one must actively choose to be. So long as we can learn from our mistakes our glasses should always be at least half full. It's not about your house, your car, your boat, your things; it's about your family, your attitude, your spirit, your joy of life. Living with the ups and through the downs is a path we all travel. I still battle to be the best. I will not be judged on how many times it fail, instead the masses will come to judge me in the number of times I've succeeded. What I have learned, the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times I've failed, picked up the pieces, and continued on!

Though only licensed since 2016, I have had the pleasure of meeting with clients to discuss their estate planning and elder law needs for several years as a law clerk in an Estate Planning Law Firm with offices in Northwest Indiana, South Bend, and Lafayette.. My client-focused approach means I do not require clients to come to my office. I meet clients in their home, their advisor's office, or maybe even a coffee shop. I believe in a reasonable fee for services provided. Additionally, your fee will be based on what you need - not the value of your estate or what I think I could get you to pay. My fee schedule is available at our first meeting.. I have worked with dozens of clients, discussing their concerns, life changes, and family dynamics. I explained options for them to consider in simple, non-legalese terms.. One thing I have heard from so many people the last several years is that I do not come across as a "normal" attorney, because they can understand what I am talking about. I used to tell people that I was not an attorney (during my clerk-time) and I would strive to stay that way after being sworn-in.. Dozens of clients have specifically said to me that they appreciated my conversational style and ability to explain complex legal concepts in everyday terms. Additionally, they say that I truly listened to their concerns and then gave them options that address what they need.. Recently, during a meeting with the CFO of a local company with international distribution, he stopped in the middle of the conversation to say he appreciated that I spoke with him. He said more often than not, he feels like attorneys talk down to him.. I have more than thirty years of experience in the work-a-day world. I have worked in a large university in development; a small, local non-profit serving the homeless community; a Fortune 150 company in sales and sales management; and in radio -on-air, management, and sales.. The foundations of my style include serving clients, bringing out the best in people I work with, and keeping a broad view of even small matters. I believe that each citizen has a right to the full powers of the law, regardless of the fee paid. My fees are set as reasonable for the services provided - not on the pure value of assets or income.. I encourage you to schedule a time to meet. We can discuss your estate planning and elder law questions, review your current planning documents to make sure they still meet your current needs, and/or concerns you may have about parents or children's care.
