Hi! My name is Curtis G. Barnhill. I’ve been helping people resolve their legal problems and issues for over 25 years. Although I’m licensed in the state of Kansas and the U.S. District Court of Kansas; I have often represented clients all across the United States.. I’m a proud Jayhawk and a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law, where I earned the honor of being selected as a member of the law review staff. Additionally, I was one of four recipients of the Schroeder Law Scholarship - - all three years of law school.. I enjoy public speaking and teaching. Over the years I’ve been invited to speak by a number professional organizations. The presentations I recall best were for the International Foundation for Employee Benefit Plans, National Coordinating Committee for Multi-employer Plans, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Women’s Attorney Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Douglas County Bar Association, Wyandotte County Bar Association, Shawnee County Bar Association, the University of Kansas, and the Saline-Ottawa Counties Bar Association.

Mr. Schlozman joined Hinkle Elkouri in 2007 to contribute to the Employee Benefits practice area. Prior to joining Hinkle Elkouri, he held a series of high-level posts in the Department of Justice since 2001, including that of interim United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri. Brad also served as the principal deputy assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, and a counsel to the Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice. Before taking a position with the Department of Justice, Brad was an associate at Howrey, Simon, Arnold & White, LLP in Washington, D.C., where he was a member of the Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation Practice.Following his graduation from law school, Brad completed a two-year federal judicial clerkship with then-Chief U.S. District Judge G. Thomas VanBebber of the District of Kansas. He then clerked for an additional year for U.S. Circuit Judge Mary Beck Briscoe of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
