Along with his father George L. Carmouche, created the law firm: The Carmouche Group, LLC, predecessor of Carmouche Title, . Scott Carmouche received his Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law at LSU along with a Bachelor of Civil Law. He is a licensed attorney in the State of Louisiana and has worked in the Property Rights realm for most of his 10 year career. Scott has analyzed and reviewed property title on over 100,000 acres of land in Louisiana. Over those 10 years, Scott had analyzed and handled a plethora of property rights issues. He presents regularly on the topics of Servitude, Acquisitive Prescription (Squatters) and many other property and ownership is also certified by the Louisiana State Bar Association as a Civil Litigation and Child Custody & Visitation Mediator. Prior to attending Law School, Scott worked as a Law Enforcement Officer in California and Florida where a majority of his experience was in Dispute Resolution and Mediation. Mr. Carmouche has an extensive background and training in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation while in Law School and through various State & Bar sanctioned programs and certifications. He continues his training and education yearly and participates as an adviser to those learning the practice of mediation and dispute resolution. George L. Carmouche, has worked in the Oil & Gas legal field for most of his 36 year career: handling multi-million dollar mineral issue cases, teaching Oil and Gas seminars to many of his colleagues in Louisiana, and serving as the Commissioner of Conservation for the State of Louisiana from 1996-1997. The SONRIS system, a complete on-line database of Louisiana mineral records, was developed under George L. Carmouche as Commissioner of Conservation, and has moved Oil and Gas production in Louisiana into the 21st century. George has since retired and works on an advisory/of counsel role with Scott.
