Sheri B. Hoidra, Esq., received her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law (UB Law), and her B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park.  She is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland.. Prior to forming her law practice, Sheri interned for the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Baltimore, MD, writing motions and appeals, and successfully arguing cases before Immigration Judges.  Sheri has also worked as a Rule 16 student attorney for the Immigrant Rights Clinic at UB Law, as a law clerk for the Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore County, and as an associate attorney for a Federal Hill-based law firm.  She intermittingly volunteers as an attorney with the Catholic Charities of Baltimore Esperanza Center.. In addition to a having a tremendous amount of practical experience, Sheri is a skilled negotiator, and served as team captain in the ABA Law Student Division Negotiation Competition during law school.  She was elected Vice President of Development for the Immigration Law Association (ILA) at UB Law, helping both to promote awareness of immigration law at the university and increase the amount of immigration pro bono work in the area.  Her dedication to advocacy culminated in membership in the Stephen L. Snyder Center for Litigation Skills and a Certificate of Concentration in Litigation and Advocacy..
