Location: Massachusetts , USA So basic information , Im 29, my parent 63 lives with me in the house they and my sibiling 35 purchased 5 years ago, my Sibiling was 'married' with no debts and didnt have any financial contribution to their household, and agreed to help cosign the loan, my parent would make the payments themselves, and I would take over once i found a job, I was in College still. Seeing as my sibling had their own family. My parent had excelent Credit score and my sibiling had a high income. All 3 of our names are on the title of the house. Now to the actual situation. My sibiling filed for C7 Bankruptcy recently and their debt had went to a Trustee. Since their name is on the house, the trustee now "own" their 1/3 share of the house. now me and my parent both have Homestead Exemption. and they are also disabled and close to retirement age ( this is due to the covid19 pandemic that affected them causing loads of health issues ; immunocomprised ) I work fulltime as a "federal" employee. so My income is guarnateed and my parent also receives SSDI the Bankruptcy lawyer We hired for the case had asked if there is any repairs or wrong things that needs to be fixed to account for the "As - is " condition if they were to force sale of the house. the most majors are Siding, Central AC, and the broken…
