Saura James Sahu is the Founding Principal of Clancy Advisors PLC, a venture capital law boutique specializing in innovative solutions for complex transactions, investigations and disputes. He currently focuses on venture funds, fund formation, high-quality emerging companies, and the mergers, acquisitions and disputes that are relevant to them. He was previously a Principal and Chair of the Recruiting Committee at Miller Canfield Paddock & Stone (Detroit), where he specialized in complex business litigation and internal corporate investigations. Mr. Sahu began his legal career as a federal judicial law clerk to the Hon. Julian Abele Cook, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. A member of the California and Michigan bars, he is the Immediate Past President of the Federal Bar Association (E.D. Mich. Chap.) and a Life Fellow of the prestigious American Bar Foundation. He has also served as an active member of the Labor Relations Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Sahu often speaks and writes about business anticorruption issues and has also taught constitutional law at law schools in Michigan.
