As a member of the Task Force, Mr. Lackey had the unique opportunity of attending the Top Gun training program, an intensive course designed for New Jersey law enforcement on advanced techniques in drug investigations and the execution of search warrants.. During his time as a Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Lackey was assigned to the Gangs and Organized Crime Bureau, where he managed multi-defendant cases and wiretap investigations resulting in charges of racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder, drug production facilities, and firearms trafficking. Following his time in the Gangs and Organized Crime Bureau, Mr. Lackey was assigned to the Office of Securities Fraud and Financial Crimes Prosecutions which concentrates on investigating and prosecuting complex financial crimes.. Mr. Lackey’s dedication to the legal profession extends beyond the courtroom and he is passionate about sharing his knowledge. As such, Mr. Lackey instructed at the New Jersey Advocacy Institute’s trial advocacy program providing valuable insight into areas like direct and cross-examination, witness preparation, and the introduction of evidence during a trial.
