Appellate work is very different from trial work. Though an appellate advocate should be a competent trial attorney, not all trial attorneys should be appellate advocates. In 2007 I decided to dedicate my law practice to the defense of DUI/OVI. I was already a Board Certified Trial Attorney so my trial skills were excellant. I joined the National College for DUI Defense and actively began acquiring the expertise i needed to be a premier OVI defense attorney.. In March of 2010 I attended and completed a 24 hour Course in DUI DETECTION AND STANDARIZED FIELD SOBRIETY TESTING.. In May of 2013 I attended and completed a Hands-On Forensic Drug Analysis II course for 40-hours at Axion Training Institute, Inc./Analytical Laboratories, Inc.. I now have more expertise and training than most lawyers and prosecutors to successfully defend OVI cases in Ohio.. I am a certified instructor of NHTSA/Standardized Field Sobriety Test. I have completed the AXION Laboratory Blood Course in gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry which allows us to challenge blood and urine testing for alcohol and drugs. I have become a pot expert through training. This allows us to successfully represent clients who are charged with driving under the influence of marijuana and other drugs.
