Phil Ryan has personally appeared at approximately 3,000 social security disability hearings. He authored the book 7 Costly Mistakes That Can Ruin Your Social Security Disability Claim (and how to avoid them). Phil has received the hightest rating available (AV) from his fellow attorneys. He was a founding member of the Disability Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association and presently serves as Chairman of the section.. Phil was born just a few blocks from the White House in Washington D.C. while his father served in the armed services. Phil worked his way through law school attending classes at night while working during the day yet still managed to graduate number four in his class.. As an attorney, Phil has represented the State of Oklahoma liquidating insolvent insurance companies on behalf of the Oklahoma Insurance Department, participated in jury trials in both the federal and state court systems, and represented thousands of injured workers in trials before the Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Court.. Phil presently concentrates his practice on Social Security disability cases, and has appeared at approximately three thousand hearings before federal judges assigned to the Social Security Administration in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas. He is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Representatives.. In 1997, Phil served on the Lieutenant Governor’s Commission on Workers’ Compensation Reform. In 2010, Phil was appointed by Governor Brad Henry to serve as his representative on the Task Force on Vocational Rehabilitation for Injured Workers. Phil is an active member of Lawyers for Working Oklahomans (an organization made up of the most prominent attorneys representing injured Oklahoma workers). From 2005 through 2009 Phil served on LWO's board of directors and in 2010 he was elected President of this important organization. In 2016, Phi was elected Chairman of the Disability Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association.. Phil serves on the Board of Directors of The Twelve Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting youth recovery. He also serves on the Phi Delta Theta Alumni Advisory Board at Oklahoma State University. He has traveled to Northern Peru on three mission trips building homes and delivering food to the needy. Phil loves spending time with his children and family. Phil is an avid cyclist and spends much of his spring and summer competing in regional road races and time trials.

I am the youngest child of Rick Beck, an oil field worker, and Joyce Beck, a factory worker. I was raised on a family farm/ranch in rural Ada Oklahoma, where I learned the value of hard work, family, friends, and good food.. In September of 2011, I joined the Forbes & Forbes family where, while I am well versed in many areas of law, I have found passion and focus in Social Security Disability Law.. After graduating from Latta High School in 2002, I attended East Central University on an academic scholarship where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. While attending East Central, I worked the 4-midnight shift at Pre-Paid Legal (now Legal Shield) where I met my husband. I received a scholarship to Oklahoma City University College of Law and began attending college there in 2007 where I earned her Juris Doctorate and certificate in Health Law in 2010. While attending Oklahoma City University, I was a member of the Moot Court Society, Law Review, and Phi Delta Phi (a Legal Honor’s fraternity). I passed the July 2010 Bar and is currently admitted to practice in the state of Oklahoma, Eastern District of Oklahoma, Western District of Oklahoma, Northern District of Oklahoma and Social Security Disability Courts.. Despite my busy professional life, I enjoys spending time with my husband and three fur babies. I has also been known to take frequent trips to Ada to visit my parents and other family.

Mr. Troutman received his first degree from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (with special distinction) in 1972. Prior to attending law school, Steve worked for many years in various senior management and engineering positions.. Steve received his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in the month of May 1999, graduating as Valedictorian of a class of 1999. He attended law school at night, while maintaining full-time employment. While he was in law school, Mr. Troutman also became a Teaching Assistant for Legal Authorities, he was on staff for the Tulsa Law Journal, and he was a member of legal fraternity Phi Delta Phi.. Mr. Troutman received numerous honors and awards from the University of Tulsa’s school of Law, including the Martin Fellows Smith Award; the Gable & Gotwals Outstanding Third-Year and Second-Year Student awards; the Judge W. Lee Johnson Award; the West Group Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award; the F.M. Rowell, Sr. Award for Property II; the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence; the Riggs, Abney award for Torts; the Order of the Curule Chair; and numerous CALI awards as the outstanding student in various classes.. Mr. Troutman began working on Tulsa Social Security disability cases with Mrs. Troutman in May of 1998, while he was still in law school. He was admitted to practice law by the Bar of the State of Oklahoma in September of 1999, and later by the Bar of the State of Kansas in July of 2000. He is currently admitted to practice before the all of the federal courts in Oklahoma, Kansas, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, he teaches Contracts as an adjunct instructor at Tulsa Community College. He has also served as a CLE instructor at several seminars dealing with Social Security disability, including conferences for the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).. Steve Troutman primarily limits his practice to representation of claimants before the Social Security Administration and to federal court appellate advocacy of Social Security claims. However, he sometimes also represents clients in claims against disability insurance companies. Some react to a situation like this with a hopeless attitude, but others take a more optimistic attitude and try to get help from any and every source possible. Since January of 2005, I have had the privilege of working with hundreds and hundreds of individuals looking to navigate the complex, bureaucratic mess that is the Social Security System. My system of taking clients individually and walking them through the maze of red tape and getting them approved for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and/or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) has been very successful. Unlike most attorneys who will take on any case of any variety, I choose to focus only on SSI and SSDI cases. in fact, it is all I do. (I like to think this gives me an advantage, since I can address all of my cases with laser focus.).
