Riley Gombart’s practice focuses primarily on business transactions and estate planning. He particularly enjoys the challenge of executing business transactions that focus on tax savings and helping clients protect valuable assets. “Each client situation is different, and I enjoy helping sort out priorities and resolving issues,” Riley says. Combining his self-taught background in computer programming with his legal education, he is constantly looking for ways to efficiently deliver creative client solutions while ensuring the final result is accurate and effective.. During undergraduate years, Riley worked as a freelance mobile application developer where he experienced the unique hardships of running a small business. He learned firsthand a client’s perspective on the need for effective, relevant legal advice. Riley also worked in business-to-business IT sales, where he developed a methodology to identify client needs, which, in turn, enabled him to create a fitting solution. He believes that attorneys must “step into the shoes of their client to figure out how to best help them achieve their goals.”. Riley received a B.A., cum laude, with a major in Business Administration from Washington State University in 2011. He earned his J.D., cum laude, in 2016 from Lewis & Clark Law School, where he was an Article Editor of the Lewis & Clark Law Review.. In his spare time, Riley enjoys playing board, card, and tabletop games with friends and family. Whenever opportunity allows, Riley relishes the opportunity to travel with his fiancé to castles, art museums, and other stunning landmarks around the world while experiencing the local culture. In their first such trip, they visited Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany and the magnificent surrounding sights. They look forward to their next adventure.
