A native of Toronto, Canada, Marissa graduated from Huron College at the University of Western Ontario with a B.A., in Psychology in 2008. Marissa decided to attend law school following her experiences as an intern on a secure Forensic Mental Health Unit at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto during college. Mark grew up in outside the small town of Ballentine, SC.  He was the fisrt in his family to attend college and obtained a law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1989.  The year prior to graduating law school, he began working for the Murdaugh Law in Hampton, SC and has been with the firm since 1988..
