Life has transitions.. Many transitions like these can be frightening.  Regardless of these transitions or their circumstances, it's important to realize that transitions are not always signs of failure.  Instead, transitions are often opportunities for growth.  I've seen this every day in my client's lives, as I've seen my clients become better fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, and citizens while facing the harrowing challenges that a legal matter can bring.  Seeing loved-ones navigate life's transitions and overcome obstacles is part of what inspired me to become an attorney.. I grew up in East Tennessee, and aside from a quick law school semester studying International Law in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I have always lived in East Tennessee.  I went to Morristown East High, where I served as president of my class.  I graduated With Highest Honors and enrolled at the University of Tenessee on a full-tuition scholarship.  I was a four-year member of the University's Honors Program and majored in Public Administration.  I completed my required Senior Honors Project on the subject of Special Education Law.  I graduated With Honors with a B.S. in Business Administration and was admitted to the University of Tennessee College of Law.. At UT Law, I participated in coursework covering advocacy and trial work,  business issues, estate planning, criminal sentencing issues, education law, administrative law, and numberous other important fields of law.  I earned scholarships for dedication to public service and international study.  I was honored to serve as an editor of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy.  During my third year, I studied both International Trade Law and Comparative Corporate Governance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in a program with students from several prestigious law schools.  I also represented Knoxville-area citizens in their court cases under special licensure as a Student Attorney in the UT Legal Clinic, which has routinely been ranked as one of the top clinical legal training programs in the U.S.. Upon passing the bar, I went to work at a firm in Upper East Tennessee while residing in the Morristown Area.  I decided after a year that I would be better able to serve clients in my own practice in Morristown, so I founded my firm in 2010 with a focus on being accessible and client-centered.  I have handled approximately 600-800 cases since 2009.  To date, I have practiced in at least 18 East Tennessee counties in 7 judicial districts and have handled several cases in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee in both the Knoxville and Greeneville Divisions. I have also practiced in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.. Service to the public and profession is a priority that I've honored by helping found and manage Hamblen County's free Legal Clinic and serving as a member of the Tennesssee Bar Association's House of Delegates.  I have also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Legal Aid of East Tennessee.  In 2012 I was elected by the Rutledge, Tennessee Board of Mayor and Alderman to serve as City Attorney.. Law is about more than what gets put in the law books. I've honestly learned most of what I know about law from my seeing how my clients handle their transitions, because I've seen how law affects them and their families.  This experience has allowed me to become more observant and understanding, and, in turn, has made me a better advocate for my clients.. If I can assist you during a time of need, please contact me.

A. Parker Trotz

Firm: Nahon, Saharovich, and Trotz PLC
488 South Mendenhall Road , Memphis , Tennessee 38117 Zip code: 38117
Practice Areas: Personal Injury
A. Parker Trotz joined Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz in 2013 upon graduating from law school. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, he is a fifth generation Memphian.. In 2006, Mr. Trotz graduated from Ridgeway High School in Memphis before attending college at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He earned his undergraduate degree from the UGA Terry College of Business, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.. Following college, Mr. Trotz moved to New Orleans to begin law school at Tulane University Law School. In the classroom, Mr. Trotz was named to the Dean’s List and graduated magna cum laude. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Trotz clerked for judges at the state and federal court levels in Georgia and Louisiana, respectively. In addition, Mr. Trotz volunteered with the Tipitina’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to enrich and promote the music community and culture of New Orleans. Through this program, Mr. Trotz helped low income artists and musicians who could not afford legal counsel achieve their goals by assisting them with needs such as business formation, drafting contracts, reviewing documents, and intellectual property issues.. Since joining Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz in 2013, Mr. Trotz has handled personal injury cases involving car accidents, trucking accidents, slip and fall, premises liability, and negligent security. Each and every day, Mr. Trotz represents those who have been injured through no fault of their own, and many of his clients have sustained traumatic, catastrophic and life-altering injuries. Many times, people injured in an accident are unsure of the process, their legal rights, and what they may be entitled to. By taking the time to speak with clients, answer their questions, and address their concerns, Mr. Trotz is able to help clients through their time of need and make a difference in their lives.. Handling a claim against a big insurance company or appearing in court can be daunting tasks for those without legal training or experience in the ever-changing personal injury field, and Mr. Trotz takes pride in being the voice for his clients in such matters. In a personal injury case, an injured client may incur medical bills and lost wages from having to miss work. In significant injury cases, a client may be facing diminished future earning capacity or permanent impairment. Mr. Trotz provides fundamental services which properly document these damages, which can include consulting with and retaining qualified experts who can provide reliable testimony in support of their opinions.. Mr. Trotz, along with many other attorneys with Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz, is a member of the Memphis Bar Association, where he is active with the Young Lawyers Division. Each year, the Young Lawyers Division sponsors a mock trial competition for high school students, and Mr. Trotz serves as a volunteer judge. Mr. Trotz also volunteers with the Memphis Area Legal Services Saturday Legal Clinic. Through this rewarding program, members of the community can meet with licensed attorneys to discuss their various legal needs, at no cost.. Mr. Trotz also co-chairs the firm’s community service program. This initiative entails social outreach to local charities and nonprofit organizations. Mr. Trotz plans and coordinates programs for the employees at Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz to volunteer, give back to those in need, and make a positive impact in the community.. With deep roots in Tennessee and the greater Memphis area, Mr. Trotz takes great pride in being able to help members of the community in which he and many of his family members grew up in. He also enjoys being a season ticket holder for the Memphis Grizzlies and cheering on the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
