I have been representing people in court since 1986. I have successfully represented clients in trial and appellate courts throughout the country and I regularly try cases before state and federal court juries.My career has been varied as I began as a private defense attorney in Boston and then worked for a number of years as a prosecutor when I moved to Tennessee in the early 1990's. Since 1998 I have been in private practice at Davis & Hoss, PC.Representative cases have included such varied subjects as federal fraud and white-collar cases to innovative homicide cases. I was the first attorney in the United States to introduce mitochondrial DNA as evidence in State vs. Ware. I have been lead counsel in more than 150 jury trials and I have been lead counsel in six death penalty cases. As as Assistant District Attorney, I prosecuted serious felony cases including cold case homicide investigations and more than twenty first degree murder cases. I ocassionaly serve as Special Prosecutor or as a Special Judge in criminal proceedings in Tennessee.In civil actions I have represented clients in age discrimination, retaliatory discharge, negligence, accidents, child injury, real estate, and complex personal injury cases.I have taught Criminal and Constitutional Law at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and previously taught trial practice as an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee School of Law in Knoxville.Outside of work I serve on the Allied Arts board as treasure and Chattanooga Boys Choir board as president. My wife, Heather, and I put on the Chattanooga Bike Camp each June teaching kids with disabilities how to ride a bike. I serve on the board of the camp's parent organization--Lose the Training Wheels. I am an active member of the Chattanooga Track Club and a race director of the Signal Mountain Pie Run 10k.

Lauren Biloski is a 2000 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. Lauren then went to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and graduated in 2003 with a B.A. degree in psychologyand a minor in Spanish. Immediately following graduation in 2003, Lauren Biloski pursued her dream and attended the Robert H. McKinney, School of Law, Indiana University. During Lauren's third year of law school, she was awarded one of three internships and later obtained a position of Assistant Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office. Lauren represented victims in all aspects of criminal proceedings, including probable cause hearings, plea negotiations, and conducted both bench and jury trials. She argued in felony and misdemeanor courts, helped negotiate various plea bargains, and conducted extensive research on various crimes and evidentiary problems. In 2006, Lauren was admitted to practice law in Indiana and Tennessee after successfully taking and passing two bar exams in July.. Lauren's passion for the law developed with her internship with Child Advocates, Inc. and the Hamilton County Prosecutor's office. After discovering how many battles individuals face in their daily lives, Lauren chose to return back to East Tennessee and assist individuals in her own community verses internationally.. Lauren returned back to Oak Ridge in October of 2006 and has loved having an active local practice. In 2012, Lauren joined and partnered with Michael Ritter to form the firm Ritter & Biloski in Oak Ridge. Since 2012, Lauren has handled a wide variety of cases but still focused her practice on juvenile law, family law, and criminal defense.. Since returning to Tennessee in 2006, Lauren has been involved and volunteered with numerous organizations. Lauren has also assisted the Humane Society of Oak Ridge and Anderson County with legal issues and volunteered her time. Lauren started the Adoptable Animals at the Oak Ridge Shelter Facebook page in the spring of 2013 to encourage adoptions fromthe local shelter and help lower euthanasia rates.. Lauren has also served on city boards in Oak Ridge. Lauren was appointed by the Oak Ridge City Counsel to serve as a member of the City of Oak Ridge Municipal PlanningCommission in 2009. During her tenure at the University of Tennessee, Lauren served on the Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Outdoor Pool advisory board and is a proud former employee of the City of Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department..
