I was born in Houston and raised in Pearland, Texas. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in History at The Ohio State University in 2013. I was then a Dean’s List student at South Texas College of Law, where I obtained my mediator certificate and juris doctorate in 2016.. In my years of practice, I have gained valuable experience in family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, community property divisions, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, domestic relations orders, protective orders, name changes, enforcements, and modifications. Since family law cases can create tremendous financial and emotional hardships on all parties involved, it is my philosophy to first exhaust all possible efforts to amicably resolve the issues through mediation or dispute resolution before going to trial. Should such dispute resolution efforts be unsuccessful, I am ready, willing, and able to take the matter to trial and fight for my clients.. In addition to family law, I also practice probate law, civil litigation, transactional drafting, estate document drafting, and criminal defense.. I am an avid sports fan and movie buff, and I enjoy spending quality time with my family, friends, and my dog, Brutus, in my spare time.

I am a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas. I left Texas to study economics at Purdue University and graduated in 2010 with honors. At Purdue, I participated in AIESEC and regularly played in all intramural sports. Also, I attended Bejing Jiaotong University for a semester on an expenses-paid scholarship to study Chinese. Studying abroad was not only educational but also incredibly fun and showed me how important it is to me to travel.. After college, I attended Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas and graduated in February 2014. In law school, I competed in the National Health Care Law Moot Court competition and successfully made a break out of 30 teams across the country. I also competed on the Transactional Law Meet team. Both of these competitions sharpened my advocacy skills I continue to use in my practice. During my first summer of law school, I interned with the Honorable Judge McFarland in the 133rd District Court in Houston, and the internship taught me insights relating to the courtroom I rely on still.. Before starting my firm, I worked at a mid-size family law litigation firm and a defense litigation firm both in Houston.. In my free time, I enjoy traveling abroad to hike and camp, including the Inca Trail in Peru and Patagonia in Argentina. I also had the chance to work on an alpaca farm in New Zealand for six weeks after I took the Texas bar exam, which was a unique way to experience a new culture. I have also been to South Africa, Germany, many Asian countries, and continually look forward to adding more stamps to my passport. Locally, I also appreciate what Houston offers, such as its famous restaurant scene.

Robert Todd

Firm: The Law Offices of Coats & Todd
1424 Gables Court , Plano , Texas 75075
Practice Areas: Social Security
A native Texan, Robert Todd grew up in Freeport, the only son of a Dow Chemical electrician and a secretary. Robert's parents instilled in him the value of work, and they informed him early on that the only way he would appreciate his education was if he paid for it himself. Robert worked hard during high school and graduated with honors. He enrolled in Brazozport College and continued to work full time. During his first year in college, Robert's mother became very sick with cancer. He interrupted his college education to return home and assume the role of primary caretaker for his mother. Four months after returning home, his father died of a massive coronary and 30 days later, his mother died of cancer.. Despite the devastation of losing both of his parents, Robert determined to return to school. He enrolled at Texas A&M University. While enrolled at A&M, his grandmother's health declined and Robert took on the twin responsibility of caring for his grandmother and completing his education.. Robert's experience led him to believe that he could serve others with a combination of intelligence, compassion and understanding. He felt the best way he could make a difference in people's lives was to obtain a law school degree and assist those in need as an attorney. He entered Southern Methodist University where he met his law partner who had similar concerns.. Robert's analytical skills and his desire to search for innovative approaches to the law have been instrumental in assisting his clients to get the best results available. Together with his law partner, Catherine Coats, Robert has dedicated his legal career to representing those with both medical and mental disabilities with the intelligence, compassion, and fervor that comes from one who personally understands their situation.

I grew up in South Georgia where I was raised on traditional values and southern cooking. It comes down to minding your manners and finding joy in the simple things, really. I was always near woods or a farm. Even as a child I found peace in those woods and being around horses, cows and dogs. I was trusted with firearms at a young age. Hard to imagine a 12 year old boy, alone in the woods with a rifle these days.. I know what it means to take on a responsibility. I know the value of someone's trust.. Coming from a long line of musicians, I played in bands professionally, even doing a stint at Disney World. I still record from time to time. Music heals many wounds. And draws us together.. I have two children and two dogs. The wife decided to split, so I know what that feels like.. I went to law school in Alabama where I met some Texans. Texas and Texans struck me as different and my kind of people. So, here I am. I do love Texas.. In the past fourteen years I have practiced divorce, custody and criminal law in Texas. I have seen the good and certainly the bad. People make mistakes and people have mistakes done to them. Sometimes, you just need a little help. When you have a legal problem on top of an emotional one, it is mighty hard to sort through it yourself. That is where I come in. I know the law, and I know what going through a divorce feels like.. I don't believe in drawing a case out for no good reason. If you need to split the sheets, best get it done quick and turn the page. Problem is, not everybody feels that way. Most folks don't really want a trial. So, get the thing set, get ready, then settle up. The good news is, it will end. I will be with you. Do right by me, and I'll do right by you.. If you are having some legal trouble, give me a call. I can help you.

Roberto Ambrosino

Firm: Law Office of Roberto Ambrosino, PLLC
17806 Interstate 10 West , San Antonio , Texas 78257
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense
Welcome to the Law Office of Roberto Ambrosino, PLLC. I pride myself on being an advocate for the accused. Having a blue collar background, I can emphasize with all accused citizens—which is why I work with clients to make legal representation a reality. The son of an Italian immigrant father and mother who survived cancer, I became a first generation college graduate. Growing up in the small coal-mining town of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, I learned to appreciate the merits of hard work and sacrifice.. Past. Prior to opening my own practice, I was an associate for a prominent civil rights law firm. The case on which I worked the hardest involved faulty urinalysis drug tests administered by the Bexar County Probation Department and their contracted drug lab. Those cases made me aware of the gross amount of injustice within the criminal justice system and served as the force behind the opening of my own criminal defense firm later on in 2009.. While attending law school on a scholarship at Texas Tech University, I interned for the Innocence Project of Texas, reading letters from incarcerated citizens and analyzing their claims of wrongful imprisonment. I also served as a research assistant for a law professor. I conducted research for the article: "Throwing the Baby Out with the Bathwater: A Call to Reinstate the Public Housing Drug Elimination Program" (Vol. 18, No. 4), published in the American Bar Association Journal of Affordable Housing and Community Development Law. I also participated in the trial advocacy program, and acted as a student attorney for Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, advocating for citizens in court before I even graduated law school.. In college, I graduated Magna Cum Laude, or "with high honors," mostly while working full-time as a food server at local restaurants in additional to a full-time course load. This was also a time when I had my only brush with the law involving numerous traffic tickets I had received over the course of a few years. As a college student, I could not afford to pay the hefty ticket fines and had my driver's license suspended as a result, I learned the hard way how unforgiving the law can be.. Present & Future. Today, I have a thriving criminal defense practice. I have been practicing for almost a decade, handling thousands of criminal cases in over 30 Texas counties. I have been recognized for excellence in criminal defense, and have accumulated nearly 100 positive reviews and attorney endorsements on the internet. I make my home in Helotes with my wife Tracy, a school psychologist, and children Dylan, Madeline, and Claire. When not in court, I spend my free time attending San Antonio Spurs games, watching my Pittsburgh Steelers, and taking my family to Sea World and the San Antonio Zoo.
