Joyce was wrongfully convicted of aggravated robbery and later exonerated after serving over nine years in prison. I was lucky enough to have met Joyce and later worked with the faculty at the UNT Dallas College of Law to start the Joyce Ann Brown Innocence Clinic. I was also able to work at the clinic where I was involved with all aspects of assisting those wrongfully accused.. I continued fighting for justice while at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and later at the Dallas Public Defender’s Office. I soon realized that I wanted to provide a more personal and intimate relationship with my clients and created my own firm.Soon after opening my firm, I realized clients also needed quality representation with civil matters such as property disputes, breach of contract, personal injury and wrongful death.
