Alan was born and raised in Pittsburg, Texas.. After graduating from Pittsburg High School, Alan earned a Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, where he majored in political science and was a member of the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom. Alan was a part of a trial team that won a $727, verdict in July 2010 for a car wreck victim who required spinal disc replacement surgery.. In September 2011, Alan graduated from the nationally-renowned Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming, founded by Gerry Spence..
