I attended the University of Texas at Austin, obtaining a B.A. in Economics. Following my undergraduate studies, I attended and graduated from the University of Houston Law Center. I am currently a Shareholder at Daly & Black, P.C. In my career, I have represented individuals, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. I currently represent clients in a broad array of civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts. My experience includes handling--from both the plaintiff and the defense side--catastrophic injury and death cases, transportation cases, maritime and Jones Act matters, FELA cases, and commercial litigation disputes.. My experience on both sides of the docket allows me to craft tailored strategies to address and move out ahead on arguments in cases. I understand the importance of thorough preparation and deep familiarity with every issue and aspect of a case. I treat every file with the proper attention it deserves.. In my career thus far, I have served on the trial team for the prevailing side in four verdicts named in Texas Lawyer’s Verdicts Hall of Fame. Verdict Search and the National Law Journal recognized a landmark $159 million verdict awarded in a workplace injury case that I second-chaired as the fourth-highest verdict in the entire United States for 2015. Other notable outcomes include a commercial litigation case ending in a $54 million verdict; a maritime case with a $41 million verdict; a commercial litigation case with a $29.8 million verdict; and a wrongful death case with a $29 million verdict.. In addition to my trial practice, I have handled over a dozen appeals. I have briefed, handled oral argument, and obtained a ruling in my clients’ favor at the Supreme Court of Texas. I am licensed to practice in Texas. I have also practiced as pro hac admitted counsel in California, Louisiana, Kansas, Virginia, and other states.. When I am not serving my clients, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, watching sports, collecting art, volunteering for various causes, cooking, and attending performing arts events.
