I have devoted my career to the practice of criminal law. From my early days in law school, when I clerked at one of the most prestigious criminal defense law firms in Richmond, to the present day. When I graduated law school I accepted a position with that same firm — the first offer extended to a law clerk in over fourteen years. I learned a great deal from those lawyers and enjoyed success in matters ranging from traffic infractions to serious felonies such as aggravated malicious wounding and attempted murder. I got around, too, representing clients in the courts of over thirty Virginia jurisdictions, as well as in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.. Feeling the call to public service, I took a job as prosecutor for the City of Fredericksburg in 2006. During my time with the City I prosecuted nearly every imaginable type of case and I routinely advised and trained the police officers with whom I worked. I also served as a special prosecutor in Hanover, Spotsylvania, and Stafford Counties in certain matters. In February 2009, I completed a course of in-depth training in the prosecution of online crimes against children. I was only one of eighty or so prosecutors selected nationwide for that course of study.. I am admitted to practice in the state courts of Virginia and in the United States District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, as well as the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. I am a member of the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association, and serve on the Judicial Selection Committee and the By-Laws Committee. I also serve as Chair of the Sixth District Committee of the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board.. I represent defendants in criminal trials and appeals throughout Virginia.. Email me at or call me at to discuss your case.

I am a first generation Greek American born and raised in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Although I work as a criminal defense attorney in Virginia , I am a Maryland girl at heart. I am a proud graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park, as well as Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia.. I am honored to work for two of the very best lawyers in Virginia, and am passionate about my job. I happily spend hours in the office with my hard-working colleagues, fighting for our clients. Outside the office, I'm dedicated to my family, friends, and life as a crossfit coach. I am no stranger to competition, and giving 100% in everything I do.. Mission Statement: Through my personal experience in court, as well as through observation of some of the best attorneys in Northern Virginia, I have learned two keys to success: uncompromised preparation and compassion. These qualities enable me to fight vigorously for those who feel defenseless, while providing a voice of comfort and reason to those who feel threatened by the judicial system. It is my personal goal to leave every client in a better place than where I found them.

I focus my practice on cases relating to all criminal law matters, including traffic violations. I have strong roots in Virginia. I grew up in Stafford County and then attended Hampden-Sydney College where I became a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in 2000. I then attended the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond and received my J.D. in 2004.. I served as Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in Hanover County where I prosecuted nearly every type of criminal case and routinely advised and trained the officers of the Hanover County Sherriff’s Office. Working as a prosecutor provided me with extensive experience that now is helping me to assist my clients who are charged with crimes. I understand that my clients are not only facing possible loss of freedom, but also financial loss, stress, and strain on family and loved ones. It is this understanding that makes me work hard to achieve the most favorable result for each client, either though aggressive trial advocacy or negotiations with prosecutors. Regardless of the type of criminal charge, I strive to ensure each case receives personalized attention, thorough research, and zealous advocacy.. In addition to being an attorney, I also have served as a volunteer Paramedic for more than a decade. My extensive medical knowledge has proven immeasurable in many criminal cases that involve laboratory tests, medical records, and medical testimony.

I've been an attorney for almost a decade now, and I've done almost exclusively criminal defense work. I spent 6 years as a public defender in Petersburg, so I have a lot of experience working on violent crimes and drug cases. I handle mostly trial work now, but I was also the appellate supervisor for the Public Defender's Office in Petersburg, so I will also accept criminal appellate cases. I am now working as a private attorney out of Buckingham County. I own a few acres of land in New Canton, and I like working with my hands. I'm a practicing Catholic, and I got married recently. I work on weekends when it is required, but I am also a firm believer in family time. I generally will take calls on Saturdays in the case of an emergency, but never on Sundays.

Aaron Pomeranz is a long-time resident of Hampton Roads and attended Kempsville High School where he played catcher for the Chiefs. He attended William and Mary, continued to play baseball for the Tribe, and graduated in 1992 with a degree in Business Administration. After college, Aaron decided to pursue a career in public service and became a police officer with the Norfolk Police Department, graduating the police academy in 1993. While in the police academy, Aaron started working toward his master’s degree in Public Administration at Old Dominion University, which he completed in 1997. Throughout his almost-25 years in law enforcement, Aaron moved through the ranks in various assignments to include: the Detective Division, Vice and Narcotics, K-9, SWAT, and Homeland Security. As he neared retirement, Aaron knew that it was time to work toward the next step in his career and started attending law school locally at Regent University. He graduated from law school in 2016 while graduating in the top 20% of his class. Aaron retired from the police force on July 1, 2017, having obtained the rank of Captain, and started practicing law on the same day.. After graduating, he returned home and worked in law enforcement for almost twenty five years before starting to practice law. He finds his experience in law enforcement not only benefits his clients when he defends them for criminal offenses, but also benefits his representation of all clients who find themselves in other difficult situations. Following law school, Aaron worked for a Tidewater law firm in a variety of roles, from serving as a Guardian ad-litem on custody matters and as court appointed counsel for indigent defendants, and practicing in the areas of family law, criminal defense, DUI, reckless driving and other traffic cases.. Since he began practicing law, Aaron had numerous cases with the attorneys at Park Zeigler and saw firsthand the professional and knowledgeable manner in which they handled their cases and complicated legal matters. When offered the opportunity to join the firm, he couldn’t pass it up. Aaron looks forward to being able to provide his clients outstanding service at Parks Zeigler for many years to come.. Aaron, his wife, Sara, and their five children reside in Chesapeake, Virginia. Aaron and Sara’s children all participate in extracurricular activities, to include soccer, gymnastics, and crew. Aaron and his family enjoy trips to the Outer Banks several times a year where they get to spend time with extended family.
