I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, but I have lived in Seattle since 1989.  I graduated with honors from the University of Washington School of Law in 2000.  After a short clerkship in the Washington Court of Appeals, I joined Scott, Kinney & Mack, PLLC, and practiced there for fifteen years. In April 2016, I joined Emerald Law Group..
