Orange County-based lawyer David E. Swanson has been trying criminal defense cases since 1991. He started his career as an Orange County Public Defender and transitioned into private practice as a criminal defense attorney in 1998. Currently, he is recognized by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law.. David E. Swanson graduated from the University of Illinois in 1976. He graduated from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management with an M.B.A in 1978. He also graduated Cum Laude from Western State University College of Law, ranking 3rd in his class in 1991. He was also a member of the Law Review.. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the California Public Defenders Association, and the Orange County Bar Association. Mr. Swanson has also lectured on numerous occasions on criminal law to Bar Associations and other groups.
