He also served as second-chair trail counsel in a two-week bench trial in which Miller LLP defended an attorney accused of professional negligence. The defendants conceded liability ab initio and the plaintiff sought over $1.2 million in damages. After substantial post-trial briefing, the court awarded the plaintiff only 3.75% of her alleged damages.. Mr. Sohal has also represented numerous clients on a pro bono basis. Specifically, he represented the victims of mortgage loan rescue and modification scams. He also served as lead counsel on a petition brought under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
