Erin Lyons is a partner at DBSH. He engages in the general practice of law, including but not limited to personal injury and employment law. He was born October 25, 1976, in Springfield, Illinois. He graduated with a B.A. in history and classics from the University of Iowa in May of 1999. He earned his J.D. with Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in December of 2004.. Erin is the author of “Give Me a Home Where The Buffalo Roam,” The Case in Favor of the Management-Function Transfer of the National Bison Range to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Nation, 8 J. Gender Race & Just. 3 (Winter 2005). He is a member of the Black Hawk County and Iowa State Bar Associations and the Iowa Association for Justice.. Erin is a former member of the Iowa State Bar Association's Professionalism Committee. He also serves on the Grievance Commission of the Supreme Court of Iowa.. Erin is a long-time member of the board of directors of the Waterloo Visiting Nursing Association, and he is a past president of that organization.  He is the president of the Waterloo Visiting Nursing Association Foundation.  He was a member of the board of directors for Grin & Grow, Ltd., in Waterloo, and is a past president of that organization as well.. Erin has been admitted to practice in the State of Iowa, the federal Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, and the federal Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, all since 2005.
