About Robert Chance
Following a rewarding career in special education, Robert Chance began practicing law in 2002 and spent his formative years as an attorney at one of the nation’s premier labor and employment firms under the tutelage of some of the best attorneys in Texas and the country. Having decided to open his own practice, Robert can now take the lessons learned from his experience and apply them in a wider variety of contexts - from individuals seeking to protect their property rights, to small businesses implementing adequate governance and internal controls, to restaurants looking to improve employee relations, to corporations defending themselves against claims of discrimination, etc.. Robert has represented companies of all sizes, ranging from locally owned restaurants to national retail chains, in all aspects of labor and employment law and civil litigation. Robert has counseled and advised companies such areas as reviewing contracts, developing handbooks, auditing employment and wage and hour practices and procedures, drafting employment agreements, and managing leaves of absence under the FMLA. Robert has also litigated countless cases of all sizes, ranging from single-plaintiff discrimination cases all the way up to complex multi-party litigation, developing a set of wide-ranging litigation skills that can be applied in multiple contexts.
