I have been practicing law in Washington for more than 30 years, including three years prosecuting criminal cases as a Deputy Prosecutor in Whatcom County.  I have been a solo and/or lead attorney on more than 40 jury and bench (Judge) trials and more than 150 arbitrations and mediations.   I have served as an MAR Arbitrator and Settlement Guardian Ad Litem on King County’s Approved SGAL List.  I have handled seven figure wrongful death and serious injury claims, premises and products liability cases, all types of motor vehicle accidents, dog bites and construction site injury cases.. I am innovative and creative in litigation and discovery.  I am also a tough negotiator in settlement and have obtained numerous favorable results in mediation and directly with opposing counsel.  My preferred approach to litigation is to try to work cooperatively with opposing counsel during pre-trial discovery and all other aspects, whenever possible.  However, I have the experience to take a case from inception all the way through a jury trial and to the Court of Appeals, if necessary..
