Born and raised in Lorain, Ohio.  Attended Lorain County Community College, The Ohio State University and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.. Practicing Attorney since November 1987.  Practice has been limited to Family and Matrimonial Matters since 1998; prior to that, practice areas included Family and Matrimonial Matters (approximately 80%) and Injury Law (approximately 20%).  In order to better serve clients, stopped handling injury cases and focused entirely on Family and Matrimonial Actions.. Although Family Law Cases havve taken me to many Ohio Counties, I primarily handle cases in Lorain County.. In order to best understand a client's situation, I prefer a one-on-one consultation.  However, in some circumstances, telephone consultations can be arranged.. In order to avoid conflicts, I charge a consultation fee of $100.  A conflict is created when I meet with a potential client, gather information about their case, and render some opinions as to how the law may apply to that client's case.  Some people do not want my office to represent their spouse and have scheduled appointments to simply keep me from being involved in the case and never had any intention of hiring me as their attorney.  Thus, to avoid such gamesmanship, I must charge for the initial consultation.
