Paul is an insurance coverage mediator, with a national practice.  His practice focuses on disputes over insurance coverage, claims handling and risk transfer, including cases where background coverage issues are preventing settlement.  Policyholder and carrier counsel alike have approached him to mediate or adjudicate their cases.  Although he is based in Austin, Texas, mediations and arbitrations are held at any place in the US convenient to counsel and parties.. As a mediator, Paul has mediated coverage disputes around the country and has been honored with induction as a "Distinguished Fellow" of the International Academy of Mediators and as a member of the National Association of Distinguished Neutrals.  In his home state, he is a "Credentialed Distinguished Mediator" of the Texas Mediator Credentialing Assn.. Paul knows the substantive area he mediates.  He has held national leadership positions in the state and national coverage bar, including service as Vice-Chair of the ABA Litigation Section's Insurance Coverage Committee.  He is currently a co-chair (neutral rep) of the Committee's ADR Subcommittee.  Paul is a frequent speaker at legal and risk management seminars throughout the U.S., including the ABA and RIMS.  And he is the author of "Coverage Mediations:  Are they really that different?” (Coverage, ABA Jan-Feb 2011)..
