I am a third-generation lawyer -- following my grandfather and my father both at the University of Virginia School of Law and in the firm which was founded by my grandfather and his brother around 1894. I believe in using the English language to communicate with my clients and have been known to apologize - in advance - for having to use a fancy word (which I try to explain).
