Ms. Ahmed also previously worked at a large international law firm, Wong Fleming, where she practiced family law for over 8 years. Before that, Ms. Ahmed worked with the Washington Education Association, one of the largest teachers' unions in Washington State, where she gained extensive experience in the areas of labor law, school law, administrative law, public employment, civil rights, and constitutional law.. As a law student, Ms. Ahmed also consecutively served as the Vice President and President of the National South Asian Law Student Association.. Ms. Ahmed is also very passionate about The Goodtimes Project, a nonprofit focused on providing support for families with children recovering from cancer. Ms. Ahmed served on the board of this organization for about 2 years and continues to devote her time helping support the organization on an ongoing basis..
