Drew was born and raised in Foley, Alabama. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and upon graduation was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army. Drew served for over seven years as an aviation officer and cargo helicopter pilot, including two combat tours in Iraq. Drew was honorably discharged at the rank of captain and attended law school at the University of Western Ontario (Canada). He completed his articles of clerkship at Baker & McKenzie LLP, one of the largest international law firms in the world and is a licensed lawyer in the Province of Ontario.. Drew was licensed by the Alabama Bar upon successful completion of the Alabama Bar examination in September 2012.. Drew practices primarily in the areas of elder law, estate planning, long-term care crisis planning, probate and estate administration, asset protection, divorce and family law, and the formation of companies and corporate entities. He is also an accredited attorney with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs for the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veteran’s benefits.. In January 2018, Drew made the Top 40 Under 40 list. Once a year, Mobile Bay Magazine publishes a list of the top-performing professionals in our area under 40 years of age. This list honors professionals who are the most accomplished individuals in their areas of expertise.. In 2014, Drew co-authored the Alabama Gulf Coast Edition of Don’t Go Broke in a Nursing Home!, a hands-on guide to long-term care, Medicaid eligibility, veteran’s benefits, and legally protecting your assets in the state of Alabama.. Drew is also a faculty member for National Business Institute’s (NBI) Estate Administration from Start to Finish seminar. His seminar is a basic to intermediate level program and is attended by lawyers, paralegals, CPAs, financial planners, tax planning specialists and trust officers to equip themselves with real-life, practical knowledge on how to handle the estate administration process.. Outside of the office, Drew serves on the Board of Directors of South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, South Baldwin Education Foundation, and City of Foley Museum and Archives. He is also a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
