Kirk Bernard has been a civil litigator of complex cases for thirty years.  In 1999, Mr. Bernard formed Bernard & Lundgren, PLLC with partner Gail M. Lundgren.  Together Mr. Bernard and Ms. Lundgren work on numerous catastrophic injury cases including a motorcycle case involving inadequate signs in a highway construction zone with disabling injuries for $5.5 million.  After taking more thirty depositions and arguing numerous motions, the case was settled within two weeks prior trial.  Another substantial case was a commercial establishment alcohol liability case for $1.5 million, and another commercial establishment alcohol liability case with the bartender who over served the driver as the plaintiff for $725,.. In 2004, the firm became known as Bernard Law Group, PLLC dba Bernard & Lindquist. Mr. Bernard has successfully represented numerous claimants in product liability matters against the manufactures of Vioxx, Baycol, Ortho Evra, Fen Phen.  Mr. Bernard has co-counseled with numerous well known attorneys such as Mark Geragos of Geragos and Geragos to represent the passengers of a Chinese Baptist Church van against Ford Motors which settled at the time of mediation for a confidential amount; and with attorney Brian Panish on a wrongful death and catastrophic injury case against the City of San Francisco which resulted in a verdict of 27 million dollars.. Mr. Bernard strives to achieve just results for each of his clients.  He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the King County Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice and is an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice.  He is also an active member of the California State Bar and the Consumer Attorney's Association.. PRO BONO – COMMUNITY SERVICE – INVOLVEMENT. Mr. Bernard’s firm has sponsored and participated in a children’s bicycle helmet give-a-way at the Bite of Seattle Festival for the past three years. Each year the firm has purchased and handed out over 500 children’s bicycle helmets at the festival. He also has produced and funded numerous public service announcements which aired on local TV stations in Washington State promoting the helmet give-a-way and bicycle/helmet safety. The Bernard Law Group also participates in the annual Northwest Harvest Food Drive. Mr. Bernard supports and encourages his staffs’ involvement in local charities of their choosing. Mr. Bernard is a supporting member of the Brain Injury Association of Washington.
