I was born and raised in Chicago and obtained my Bachelor of Arts in psychology and criminal justice, summa cum laude, from Indiana University-Bloomington, and my Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law.. During law school, I worked as a legal extern for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office before joining Tamaki Law Offices as an associate attorney in March 2010. I am a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Association for Justice.. It is important to me to be active in my community. I have served as the Yakima County Roundtable Chair, member of the Academic Affairs Committee for Heritage University, member of the Judicial Relations Committee for Washington State Association for Justice, and continue to be a member of the Junior League of Yakima. I am also licensed to practice in all Washington state courts and the United States District Court of Eastern Washington.. I have a strong interest in social justice and have volunteered time with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity. Outside of work my hobbies include traveling, yoga, painting, photography, freewriting, theater, and everything to do with the great outdoors, like hiking and gardening.
