Jessica graduated from University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In 2002, Jessica received her Juris Doctorate degree from Villanova University School of Law, where she worked as a domestic violence victim advocate, interned at the Philadephia District Attorney's Office, interned at the Federal Defenders Office, and won asylum for a 17-year old refugee from Azerbaijan. She was presented with an award for excellence in Trial Advocacy.. After moving to Colorado Jessica worked as a Deputy District Attorney in the Boulder County DA’s Office. She specialized in Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse cases. Jessica headed up the Boulder County Domestic Violence Task Force and co-created the Elder Abuse Task force. She received training from Homeland Security and attended the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. In 2010, Jessica began working as a prosecutor for the City of Westminster and later as a criminal defense attorney. She is a highly skilled and experienced litigator who has handled thousands of criminal cases and over one hundred trials..
