He has been an adjunct law professor at American University in Washington, D.C. and St. Thomas Law School in Miami, Florida. He is currently a member of the Vermont Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, as well as the Vermont Association of Justice. He is a former president and a current board member of the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was also on the Colchester, Vermont, Town Planning Commission.
