She is a former Adjunct Professor for the University of Central Florida and a former Judicial Law Clerk Intern for the Executive Office of Immigration Review (Immigration Court) in Miami, Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida in 1992 and a Juris Doctor from the Nova Southeastern University School of Law in 1996.
