Philip was born and raised in the Atlanta area. He attended Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn, Georgia, where he was a pitcher on the varsity baseball team. Philip continued to pursue his love for baseball into college before an injury to his shoulder ended his playing career. Philip graduated from Augusta State University, renamed Augusta University, before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia.. While in law school, Philip was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Student Bar Association, Public Defender Clinic, and student attorney in the Public Interest Practicum. During his summer breaks and part-time during his semesters, Philip worked as a law clerk with one of the country’s most well-known plaintiffs’ firm specializing in mass tort litigation. Philip assisted the firm in representing clients from all across the country in litigation against some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers..
