Christine Greene currently practices family law and criminal law (misdemeanors).  She has represented clients before the D.C. Superior Court, the Court of Appeals of Maryland and the U.S. District Court of Maryland. Prior to launching her private practice, Christine worked as Director of Legal Programs for the Neighborhood Legal Services Program.  Most recently, she served as the Legal Program Director for the Amara Legal Center.. Christine is a passionate family advocate with a solid record of winning positive results for her clients--many of whom are traditionally underrepresented in the court system. Christine served on the board of the Rappahannock Council for Children and Parents, a nonprofit organization that promoted positive parenting and the prevention of child abuse and neglect.. Christine is also a Core Adjunct Professor for the California Southern University. She has taught several courses, including Legal Research, Legal Writing, Domestic Relations Law and Immigration Law. Christine has also served as a member of the Faculty Senate Personnel Committee.. As a consultant for the American Bar Association, Christine surveyed U.S. public defense attorneys to identify current comprehensive pretrial practices and, based on the results of her survey, created a toolkit which will provide a baseline reference point and resource guide for pretrial public defenders. This toolkit is published on the American Bar Association's website and will be administered to defense attorneys nationally to aid in improving the quality of holistic representation for defendants nationwide.. Christine earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia and her J.D. from the Washington and Lee University School of Law. She co-authored the article, “African American Family Life: The Dynamics of Interactions, Relationships, and Roles,” which is published in New Directions for Child and Adolescent Development 1995:68, 5.
