Laura Range is an Attorney with Trent Law Firm, PLLC. Her transactional practice of law emphasizes in the areas of creditors’ rights (collections) and bankruptcy. Laura is a native of Dubuque, Iowa, and has been practicing law in the Cedar Valley since 2005, with a voluntary hiatus to stay home with her three young children. Prior to joining the legal team at Trent Law Firm, PLLC, Laura was employed as a General Practice Civil Litigation Associate Attorney at Gallagher, Langlas & Gallagher, P.C. and worked more recently as a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney at Beecher, Field, Walker Morris Hoffman and Johnson, P.C., both located in Waterloo, Iowa.Laura graduated summa cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. Subsequently, she graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with a juris doctorate (J.D.), where she interned at the College of Law’s Clinical Law Program, participated in a six-week Comparative and International Law Summer Study Abroad program in Arcachon, France, wrote for the Journal of Gender, Race, and Justice (JGRJ), and subsequently served as the Managing Editor for the JGRJ.Since 2013, Laura has passionately served as a volunteer at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in the areas of fellowship and children’s ministry. Laura has also served as the District 1B representative for the Young Lawyers Division of Iowa and has presented on behalf of the National Business Institute on the topic of Bankruptcy Law.
