Hunter was born and raised in Greeneville, Tennessee. Hunter attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he was a cum laude graduate, earning dual degrees in business administration and human resource management from the Haslam College of Business.. Hunter was then accepted to Belmont University College of Law in Nashville, Tennessee where he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree. During law school, he was vice president of the criminal law society, earned high honors for academic papers on federal income taxation and estate and gift taxation, and achieved multiple favorable verdicts in mock trial competitions.. Hunter began his professional experience in the legal world in 2014 when he began working for the 3rd Judicial District Attorney’s office. He continued in this role until 2016 when he took time off to prepare for law school. During his time with the District Attorney’s Office, Hunter assisted in multiple first-degree murder cases, vehicular homicide investigation, drug trafficking stings, and various other state crimes.. Hunter then worked for the personal injury firm, Daniel & Gaines in Knoxville, Tennessee, a firm founded by legendary Tennessee trial lawyer, Zane Daniel.
