Upn graduation Michael began working as an Assistant Solicitor for the 2nd Circuit Solicitor's Office where he received extensive trial experience in both Magistrate and General Sessions Courts. While there he received the J. Strom Thurmond, Jr. Award for Excellence in prosecution. In 2020, Michael transitioned to private practice at a South Carolina based Personal Injury firm. After gaining valuable skills in the areas of personal injury and criminal defense Michael opened his own practice, Emmer Law Firm in 2024.
