David A. Kates was born and raised in Queens, NY. Today, he works as a medical malpractice attorney to help patients who have suffered harm as a result of substandard medical care. Taking on cases involving preventable birth injuries, surgical mistakes, medication errors, anesthesia malpractice, hospital infections, emergency room errors, and all forms of medical malpractice, David fights for justice against negligent medical professionals and their profit-driven insurance providers. He believes in pursuing the level of compensation that helps his clients rebuild and face better, brighter futures. He has been practicing law since 1996 and earned his undergraduate degree from New York University in 1992 and his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 1995. David is admitted to practice in all New York State and Federal Courts and is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.
