About Edwin Abrahamsen
Edwin A. Abrahamsen, Jr. has been involved in the legal field all his life. He is the son of Ned and Mary Ann Abrahamsen, both who are practicing attorneys. He currently is a partner in the firm of Abrahamsen, Conaboy & Abrahamsen, P.C.,which was founded by his father, Edwin Abrahamsen, over thirty-three years ago. Chip has been practicing for over nine years, helping clients through various personal injury and Workers’ Compensation matters.. Chip has represented hundreds of clients who have sustained injury in many personal injury matters from truck accidents to car accidents to slip and fall accidents to injuries at work. Chip has successfully managed to procure successful resolutions for his clients in all these areas of the law.. He has obtained a six figure jury verdict in a very conservative county for a woman who almost died as a result of toxic mold exposure. Additionally, he secured a large six figure settlement for the family of a young man beaten to death in a parking lot of a hotel.. He continues to work hard representing clients who have been injured in truck accidents, accidents with gas and water trucks, slip and fall accidents, catastrophic work accidents and many other personal injury matters.. He graduated from Boston College in 2001 and graduated from the Dickinson School of Law at the Pennsylvania State University in 2004. At the time of his application to Dickinson School of Law, he listed over eleven family members that had all been practicing members of the legal field including both his parents and his grandfather, who is currently serving as a federal judge.. Through his practice, Chip has traveled across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, practiced in many courts in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2004 as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in 2004. Since that time, he has also been admitted in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, housed in Philadelphia, as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, in the Federal Court System.. Chip has also taken time to give back to the legal community. He has served on the Lackawanna County Young Lawyers Division Board for over six years, working his way through the elected fields and ultimately serving as the President of the Young Lawyers Division in 2013. Additionally, Chip currently serves as a board member of the Friends of the Poor in Scranton and also the Bread Basket in Scranton.. At the firm of Abrahamsen, Conaboy & Abrahamsen, P.C., their motto has been, "We Fight For What’s Right." Chip takes that very seriously. He fights every day to make sure that his clients are given the protection and the attention that they deserve, whether they have been hurt at work, injured by a negligent truck driver, or harmed by the negligence of a land owner.
